Hesperus Marketing (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated in 1995 by Mr. B. U. Hettiarachchi (Biswa, as known in the prominent business circle) the Chairman/Managing Director, with a vision of becoming a leader in the Cosmetic Trade introducing a single product, Restoria of Australia to the market.

Since then todate Hesperus Marketing has expanded its business becoming the sole agent for more than 12 world renowned brands of Cosmetics and other Beauty and Skin Care products coming from this part of the world, from Far-East to Middle East, comprising items exceeding 125 varieties.

The reason behind this success lies in Biswa’s initiative, determination and dedication backed by his broad knowledge on market demands/sensitiveness, and the pragmatic experience he gained in being a Managing Partner of his late farther’s business - Visakamals, a well reputed establishment in Sri Lanka, dealing with women’s needs over the past 60 years.

Visakamals is now expanded to a chain of modern retail outlets in Kandy, the principal town in the central country and Nugegoda, the second business hub, adjoining Colombo city.

These operate as the main retail outlets of Hesperus Marketing (Pvt) ltd, while the retailers spread island-wide, served direct by the company’s sales team, exceed 8100.

Biswa is a committee member of COYLE (Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs) and has received several awards from Trade Chambers and Suppliers.
